Chelsea & Dallas Lam | Hope Chapel Wedding | Austin, TX

On December 20, 2014 I was able to witness my best friend Chelsea get married to the love of her life. It was an intimate wedding centered on God's grace at Hope Chapel in Austin, Texas. The beauty of this marriage is how Chelsea and Dallas center God in their lives, something that was visible in their testament of love. 

This particular wedding was intense for me, I was a bridesmaid and the photographer. Meaning I couldn't have done it without the help of my wonderful assistant and boyfriend Anthony. I also did a lot of prep work from making the bird seed bags, the takeaways and the bouquet pictured below, proving myself to be very crafty. 

I am thankful that Chelsea gave me the freedom to approach the images as I wished. Given that I am a documentary photographer, black and white is a preferred aesthetic.
To me it illustrates the raw intimacy of the moment.
