It appears that I caught one of the meteor outbursts during this exposure.

This was one of the most fulfilling nights in my photography career. I went with a large group to Hueco Tanks State Park, in the outskirts of El Paso, to catch glimpse of the Meteor Shower on August 12, 2012.

There is nothing more breathtaking than standing in the midst of nature at its nearly pure form. So often we live our daily lives without trying to assimilate with nature and its beauty. During this astounding phenomenon and night, felt as I was paying true homage to what nature has to offer.

All images are long exposures of the night sky, something I had never photographed before. The feeling when an exposure is done is glorious, especially when knowing it was a good exposure. None of the images are manipulated.
